Smile and you’ll get a smile in return

“You stand in the window seeing others, others stand on bridge and see you. You ornament others’ scenery, and others ornament your dreams.”
I like this little poem by Bian Zhilin, not merely because it is meaningful and deep, but because it explains a truth even more: Smile and you’ll get a smile in return.
So, before you do everything, smile first. The smiling face is a delicate and charming flower, which can infect around, magically changes into the spring rich in variety. If you insist smiling to everybody, everybody will hang up a brilliance never falling on the face, or this world will be full of unhappiness.
Smile is important and necessary. For instance, when you need some help, you should say: “Excuse me.” At the same time, if you show your unhappy face, he will not feel comfortable, too. How can you get the help while he has no pleasure? Show your smile and you will get his help.
So, please remain smiling as much as possible, for smile is a kind of language. When you are on the bus to work in the morning, smile to the people sitting beside you, you will get his smile in return, and both of you may feel so nice the whole day. When you injure others unintentionally, say “sorry” and smile to him, perhaps he will forgive you more easily and in that way, all unpleasantness can be dissolved.
In fact, smile is not an easy job. It seems very difficult for you to smile when you are sad. Don’t be afraid, make up your mind to try once, there’s also a smile in return in your heart.
Here, smile is not just the word “smile”, it has extensive meanings, including our care, help, kindness to others. In a word, always be good to others, and you can live a better life.
