最近，看到了这么一句英文：I think that lack of adequate public transport may be the main reason for CODT's (CODT=China Opera and Dance Theatre)failure as a theatre, even though it may be as you say "a recording success". 此句话是谈论中国歌舞剧院的情况。不知道"a recording success"这个词组准确意思是什么。是“录像（或录音）成功”，或“唱片成功”？似乎与上下文讲不通，请教高手帮助指导，谢谢！
