Police in northwestern Pakistan say a large bomb explosion has killed at least eleven people. At least fifty-two others were injured. The bomb exploded near the Pearl Continental Hotel in Peshawar. Witnesses say they heard shots being fired before the explosion which tore through the side of the Hotel. Many vehicles were destroyed and part of the building caught fire. Pakistani politicians and United Nations officials were in the Hotel. The UN officials are helping with aid operations for people displaced by army offensive against Taliban supporters in the Swat Valley...
