Witnesses in Tehran say Iranian police broke up hundreds of protesters as they began to gather on Monday. The opposition demonstrators had met in Central Tehran in the face of a heavy police presence. Some reports say police use tear gas against them. The country’s special security force, the Revolutionary Guard, said it would use force to stop protests. Earlier, Iranian media reported ten people killed and at least one hundred injured in the fierce clashes Saturday between security forces and demonstrators in Tehran.
