Rescue workers in Chile are preparing to send supplies to 33 miners trapped underground. Food, medicine and communication devices are being lowered into the mine near the northern city of Copiapo. The miners have been trapped there for more than 2 weeks after a tunnel collapsed. They were found to be alive Sunday, but officials say it could take up to 4 months to reach them. Sunday, engineers began making plans to drill a rescue tunnel through nearly 700 meters of solid rock. Officials say the threat of another collapse will force them to work slowly.
