President Obama is demanding that Iran permitted international inspectors to visit its second uranium enrichment center within two weeks. The President called Iran’s talks with six nations a “good beginning”. But he said Iran must take action on the nuclear program and must not interfere with inspectors. Thursday European Union official Javier Solana said Iran has disagreed to let United Nations inspectors visit the nuclear center near the city of Qom. The agreement came during talks with six nations in Swaziland. Mr. Solana said diplomats have agreed to hold the second meeting on Iran’s nuclear program before the end of October.

The United States says that it has asked Iran to urgently resolve the cases of Americans detained in Iran. A State Department spokesman says the United States raised the issue during re-talks with Iranian officials in Geneva. The spokesman said the detainees included Iranian-American Kian Tajbakhsh and Robert Levinson. Other detainees included three Americans held for two months after they crossed the Iranian border while walking in Iraq’s northern Kurdistan area.

A United Nations official says the number of death from two earthquakes in Indonesia could rise to more than 1,100. An UN humanitarian Chief John Holmes said hundreds of people were injured after the earthquakes that took place on Wednesday and Thursday. Indonesian officials say at least 770 people are confirmed dead. But they warned that the number is likely to increase. The first earthquake struck near the western coast of Sumatra Island and the second one struck an area north of Sulawesi Island. 

The United Nations Human Rights Council is condemning violations of human rights in Honduras after the ouster of President Manuel Zelaya. The 47 members’ group approved the resolution calling for the return to democracy and the rule of law. Mr. Zelaya remains in Brazilian embassy in the Honduran’s capital, Tegucigalpa. The rights group expressed concerns that the temporary government has restricted news media and limited food, water and the electricity of the embassy. The Organization of American States is sending a team to Honduras to prepare for the arrival of the delegation seeking and end to the crisis.

A former Argentine President has been charged with interfering investigation into the bombing of the Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires in 1994. A judge charged former President Carlos Menem, his brother Munir Menem and others over problems with the investigation. 85 people were killed and more than 200 others were injured in the attack. No one has ever been found guilty in connection with that bombing. Argentine government lawyers say Iran directed the bombing which were reportedly carried out by the Lebanese Militant group, Hezbollah. However both Iran and Hezbollah denied involvement.

A top of United States diplomats says Osama bin Laden lives in Pakistan tribal area near the border with Afghanistan. Deputy Chief of Mission Gerald Feierstein says the United States also believes that Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Omar is hiding in Quetta, the capital of Southwestern Baluchistan Province. Mr. Feierstein says militants moved freely across the border with the Afghanistan. He also says there are responsible for the attacks on international and Afghan forces. But Pakistan Interior Minister said if the claim was true, the United States will have shared that information with Pakistan so that the military could take action.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has announced a new political alliance. Mr. Maliki is called it “the State of Law” coalition. It includes more than 40 Sunni, Shi'ite and other political parties. The Prime Minister announced the new alliance when he spoke Thursday at “the green zone” area of Bagdad. He also called for national unity and the end to divisions. Mr. Maliki rose to power as a part of Shi'ite allies and the new coalition will compete against his former Shi'ite Muslim alliance.

The United States has ordered some employees at the embassy in Guinea to leave the country. The order comes after a military operation against opposition protesters. The United States is urging Americans to avoid travel to Guinea. It also said the American embassy in Conakry may be forced to close without warning because of security conditions. A Guinean’s rights group says security forces killed 157 people in Conakry on Monday. However Guinean government officials say 57 were killed.

Officials in the Philippine are warning people are of work for powerful storm that could worsen flooding caused by Typhoon Ketsana. Weather experts say Typhoon Parma is increasing in strength with winds of the 200 kilometers an hour. They said that it is expected to strike Luzon Island on Saturday. Officials expected to provide more information about the storm late Friday.    

And this news Golfer Tiger Woods of the United States has become the first athlete to earn more than $ 1 billion. Forbes Magazine reports said he broke the earning of record when he won the ten million extra dollars for this FedEx Cup victory last Sunday in Atlanta. Tiger Woods has been the top earning sportsman since 2002
