President Obama has announced that all the United States troops will withdraw from Iraq by the end of the year, the president made the announcement Friday after an video conference with Iraq prime minister Nouri al-Maliki , mister Obama said he and mister Maliki agreed that American troops in Iraq would be home in time for the Holidays, president Obama said the United States’ relationship with Iraq will enter a new period, based on interest and respect for each other.

The United Nations Security Council has condemned the Yemeni government for its actions against government opponents, the Security Council also is urging Yemen’s president to surrender power, all 15 council members supported the resolution, this was the first resolution on Yemen since protests began there in the spring.

Libyans waited at a meat store near the city of Misurata in hopes of seeing the body of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, his body was placed in a cold storage room at the store, some visitors used wireless telephones to take pictures, outside some Libyans shouted god is great. Video recordings of the body show what appeared to be a bullet hole in the left side of his head and another in the center of his chest, questions about how mister Gaddafi died have raised the possibility of an investigation by the International Criminal Court, his wife has joined those calling for an investigation.
