It is twenty-three hours thirty universal time and here is the news in special English.

The number of Swine Flu cases across the United States has risen to at least 65. Officials around the world are taking increasing steps to deal with the deadly virus. In the United States, President Obama has asked Congress to approve 1.5-billion-dollar-amount to fight Swine Flu. The western state of California which shares a border with Mexico has declared a state of emergency. The Los Angeles Times Newspaper said officials are investigating two deaths in California that may have been linked to the virus. Mexico is the only country that has reported deaths from Swine Flu. More than 150 deaths are suspected. Cases of the virus have also been confirmed in Canada, New Zealand, Britain, Spain, Ppstariga and Israel.

In the United States Senator Arlen Specter has announced plans to change political parties. The Senator from Pennsylvania says he plans to seek re-election next year as a member of President Obama’s Democratic Party. Mr. Specter said he now finds his political ideas more like those of the Democrats. However, Mr. Specter said he would not be a guarantee vote for the Democratic Party. A White House spokesman said President Obama spoke with Mr. Specter by phone and said he is very happy with the change.

The European Union has condemned a decision by Sri Lanka to deny a visit by Sweden’s Foreign Minister. The Foreign Minister of Check Republic says the decision was a serious mistake. He also said it would influence relations between the EU and Sri Lanka. Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt was to visit Sri Lanka this week with the Foreign Ministers of Britain and France. They were to press for a ceasefire between the government and the Tamil rebels. European officials only say that the British and French Diplomats have been given permission to visit. The Sri Lankan government says it never denied entry to the Swedish diplomat. It said Mr. Bildt never officially asked for a visit. The government also said it has extended an invitation for him to visit in early May.

The American Defense Department has welcomed Pakistan’s Offensive aimed at expelling Taliban militants from areas just one hundred kilometers from Islamabad. But the Defense Department said Tues day the real test will be whether the effort is continued and the militants are defeated. The American reaction came after Pakistani troops moved into the Buner area. Pakistani army officials said the military expanded its operation against the Taliban Tuesday. He said officials discovered communications that showed the militants had no plans to leave the area. He said the military estimates about 500 Taliban supporters are in that area.

Police in Bangladesh say they have charged the head of an aid group which supports the country’s Islamic militants. Police officials identified the aid official Faisal Mustafa, a citizen of Britain. They say he and ten other people face charges of using an Islamic school to store weapons and explosives. In March, Bangladesh Security Forces raided the school and arrested a teacher and ten other people. Officials said they found small arms, ammunition and enough explosives to make several hundred small bombs.

Iranian officials say an Iranian-American reporter jailed in Tehran is in good health. The officials also denied reports that Roxana Soberry is refusing to eat. Iranian’s News Agencies reported their comments. On Monday, Soberry’s father said his daughter stopped eating a week ago to protest her eight years’ sentence in Iran on spying charges. He said now she is very weak. On Tuesday, an American State Department official said the United States is concerned about her mental condition and physical health. Robert Wood said the United States is working to bring her home.

In Algeria, news organizations are reporting that at least two guards have been killed and at least three others injured two bomb attacks near Algeas. The bombings were reportedly on a security base near the capital. Reports from the area say the attackers set a home-made bomb from a distance. A gun battle followed and the attackers escaped. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.

China has signed a trade deal with Peru that would lead to the slow removal of import taxes of more than 90% of their goods. The deal comes after more than a year of negotiations. The deal is China’s second with Latin-American countries. It covers trades in goods, services, investment and intellectual property. The Chinese government says trade between the countries in 2008 was worth more than seven billion dollars. China is Peru’s second largest trading partner after the United States.

Finally this news: The makers of an internet video game that includes images of religious leaders fighting each other have taken the game off their website. The move came after an Islamic group protested that the game is insulting. The Organization of the Islamic Conference is a Saoddy-based group representing Moslem countries. It said the game which is called “fifth fighter” had no other purpose than to incite religious hatred. The game’s designer in Italy said the game tried to use humor to fight religious hatred. “Fifth fighter” shows the images of Jesus, Prophet Muhammad and Buddha involved in hand-to-hand fighting.
