People in Haiti are searching the wreckage of Port-au-Prince for survivors. Thousands of people in the capital are fear dead after a major earthquake destroyed much at the city. Hospitals are crowded and bodies are laid in the roads. Haitian Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive told American TV Wednesday he believes more than 100,000 people may be dead. But President René Préval says it is too early to get an exact number of deaths. The 7.0 earthquake struck Tuesday. The quake collapsed the President’s home, monuments, a prison and the largest hospital in Port au Prince. The International Red Cross says up to 3 million people have been affected. Bodies were removed from the collapsed United Nations Headquarters. More than 100 UN employees are missing including the delegation chief Hedi Annabi.
