Food, Medicine and troops are slowly arriving in Haiti after the nation’s worse earthquake in 2 centuries. The Red Cross estimated that 45,000 to 50,000 people have died. The earthquake caused homes and government buildings to collapse. Many people were buried in the wreckage. Many dead bodies have been left down the streets. A local medical worker in Port-au-Prince said the dead must be buried to prevent disease. The numbers of injuries seeking medical care continued to grow. The team of Cuban doctors already operating in Haiti has been treating the injured. The aid group Doctor without Borders has set up temporary medical centers. Other injured Haitians have been taken by bus to the Dominican Republic for treatment in hospitals there.
