In this day's news officials in Iraq say that at least 41 people were killed on Friday in 2 bombings near the Shiite holy city of Karbala. More than 145 others were wounded. The attacks took place as hundreds of thousands of Shiites gathered in Karbala for yearly religious event. Friday marks the end of 40 days of mourning for the death of Imam Hussein, a famous 7th century Shiite clergyman. The attack was the third in Iraq this week against Shiite Muslims.
