President Obama says progress is being made in stopping the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The president visited Louisiana Friday on the third trip to the Gulf area to examine efforts to contain the huge oil leak. After his visit, he said this still too early to know if BP's efforts stop the leak will succeed. President again said the BP is responsible for the disaster. He also criticized the oil company for spending money on advertising to protect its image. In Louisiana, President Obama met with Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen and state and local officials. Admiral Allen is leading the government's disaster efforts. Mr. Obama later traveled to a coast area for meetings with fishermen and others.
