Iraqi officials say a series of bomb attacks across the country Wednesday killed at least 55 people. There have no claims are responsibilities, but most of the violence appears to have targeted Iraqi security officials. Many of those killed were police officers. The deadliest explosion happened in the southern city of Kut. The suicide bomb attack near a police station killed at least 20 people. 100 others were reported wounded. In Baghdad, a suicide car bombing outside a police station killed 15 people and injured nearly 60 others. Other attacks in Iraq took place in towns including Karbala, Basra, Kirkuk, Buhriz and Fallujah.
