West African states have expressed support for the effort of Mali in reclaiming it's normal.

  3. Syria government forces attacked opposition targets across the country Friday. The attacks come last on the week before a United Nations time limit for a cease-fire. Activists say government forces shelled several areas around Damascus and in the Homs area. Opposition activists say at least 24 people were killed. They also reported that tens of thousands of Syrians took part in anti government protest across the country. Syrian government has promised to stop all military action by the 10 of April. Friday United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon sharply criticized the government for its continued attacks on civilian.
  4. In Afghanistan, officials say a suicide bomber has killed the chief of a piece counsel and his son. The piece representative Mohammed Hashim wounded was returning home from Friday prayers in * Province at the time of the bombing.   7. The United States Navy jet crashed into housing state of Virginia Friday at least six people were injured including both pilots. Officials say the two crewmembers succeeded in escaping from the aircraft before it crashed. They were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injury. four civilians were also taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. the crash severely damaged several small apartment building. Emergency crews searched for possible victim. The jet was based nearby at the naval air station in the city of Virginia Beach.
  8. Russia says it will join the European space agency on a project to explore the planet Mars. the aim of the project is to test dirt forest sides of life. Russia's space agency * says its chief and the head of the European Space agency agreed to cooperate during talks in Moscow. Spokeswoman said the Mars project represents a joint scientific interest. She says the European space agency would sign a final agreement by the end of the year. Launches are planned in 2016 and 2018.
  9. In the United States, President Obama says the difficulty faced by women affects everyone. He spoke at a White House conference on women and the economy. The president said his administration has worked to help women earn the same amount of money as men for doing the same job. He praised the administration for extending more than 16,000 new votes to women owned business. And he said it helped more than 2 million more young women pay for college with federal-aid. On Thursday, a White House spokesman asked why the administration organized an event on women's rights during this an election year. Spokesman rejected calls that the conference was held only for a political purpose.

1: The West African Gruop(ECOWAS) said it is considering a plan to deploy a force of up to 3000 troops to Mali. The aim of force will be to secure a return of constitutional order and halt any further rebels offensives. France has offered supports for troops including transport. The West African Gruop had early announced sanctions on the soldiers who (outesed) Mali`s government. The measures was aimed at forcing them to re-establish civilian rule.
